Kathmandu Restaurant

What: Butter Chicken & Lamb Saag
Where: Kathmandu Restaurant
Cuisine: Indian
Affordability: $10-$20

– We ordered their $13.99 Dinner Special – which only had 2 choices: Lamb Saag or Butter Chicken. But we were definitely not disappointed when these two huge plates of food arrived at the table. Each plate includes the main dish, 4 slices of naan, rice, a side of stewed vegetables and potatoes, and a cucumber tomato salad.

– The Lamb Saag was delicious as the lamb chunks were tender and was spicy but not too spicy. The Butter Chicken was also yummy and a bit tangy, perfect for those who prefer non-spicy dishes. The cucumber salad was definitely refreshing, acting as a palate cleanser if you felt the curry was starting to get heavy. Stewed vegetables and potato was served cold, without a curry based sauce, and a bit sweet because of the carrots, zucchini and cauliflower.

– With so many carbs, we managed to eat everything except the rice! Just looking at the photos makes me hungry again. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s craving Indian food.

– Here’s a 15% discount coupon (unfortunately it can only be used on regular dishes and not the Dinner Special) http://www.kathmandurestaurant.ca/coupon.htm
